Palobiofarma is a Spanish clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company founded in 2006 by a group of scientists with drug-discovery experience at pharmaceutical companies such as Bayer, Almirall and Oryzon. It discovers and develops small-molecule drugs based on the modulation of adenosine receptors, with a pipeline spanning oncology, respiratory (COPD/asthma), neurological and rare diseases — including PBF-509 (licensed to Novartis, which triggered milestone payments), PBF-680, PBF-999 for Prader-Willi syndrome and PBF-1129 for non-small-cell lung cancer. Headquartered in Navarra (Noain/Cordovilla, with the AIN building as its more recent site) and with operations in Barcelona, it employs roughly 11-50 people.
