OOncostellae
Oncostellae is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company that discovers and develops proprietary small-molecule drug candidates for high unmet needs in immunology and oncology, taking assets through Phase I/II and then out-licensing them to pharma partners. Its lead programs are OST-122, a JAK inhibitor for ulcerative colitis (Phase 2a), and OST-499, a glucocorticoid receptor antagonist for colorectal cancer and other solid tumours (Phase 1). Founded in 2013 as a spin-out linked to the University of Santiago de Compostela, it is a small team (~10-19 people) funded by Galician/Spanish venture and public capital plus equity crowdfunding. It is headquartered in Santiago de Compostela (Galicia) with a secondary office at the Barcelona Science Park.
