LLaminar Pharma
Laminar Pharma is a Spanish biopharmaceutical company that designs first-in-class drugs based on "melitherapy" / Membrane-Lipid Therapy, targeting cell membrane lipids rather than proteins or DNA. Founded in 2006 as an academic spin-off of the University of the Balearic Islands, it is developing LAM561 (idroxioleic acid) for glioblastoma, alongside programs in other cancers and Alzheimer's. It has raised more than €43M since inception (around €29M since 2021), largely through equity crowdfunding platforms, family offices and private investors rather than institutional VC, and has joined the Growth segment of Spain's Entorno Pre Mercado ahead of a possible listing. It is headquartered in Palma de Mallorca, with a Boston office.
